State instruction office honors 3 area schools

Three Tacoma-area schools have been honored by state education officials for implementing college and career readiness programs.

Keithley Middle School and Washington High School in the Franklin Pierce School District, along with Lincoln High School in Tacoma, were among 23 schools honored by the state Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction. Each school earns the 2014 Career Guidance Award of Excellence.
