Haiden Palmer scored 16 points as the No. 18 Gonzaga Bulldogs beat the Saint Mary’s Gaels, 68-60, Monday to advance to the championship game of the West Coast Conference tournament.
Gonzaga (28-4) will look to win its fifth WCC tournament championship in six years when it faces No. 2 seed BYU (26-5), which defeated Pacific, 77-64, on Tuesday.
Shelby Cheslek had 11 points and a career-high 14 rebounds for the Bulldogs. Lindsay Sherbert came off the bench and scored 14 points in the first half.
Senior Jackie Nared had 29 points and 11 rebounds for Saint Mary’s (22-9).
WOMEN’S TOP 25
No. 1 UConn 72, No. 3 Louisville 52: Breanna Stewart scored 20 points and the Huskies (34-0) beat the Cardinals (30-4) to win the inaugural American Athletic Conference tournament in Uncasville, Conn. With the victory, UConn became the 14th team to enter the NCAA tournament without a loss.
No. 9 Baylor 74, No. 7 West Virginia 71: Odyssey Sims and Niya Johnson scored 19 points apiece, Sune Agbuke collected 10 rebounds and the Bears (29-4) rallied late to beat the Mountaineers (29-4) to win the Big 12 Conference title in Oklahoma City. Both teams also finished 16-2 in the conference.
No. 23 DePaul 100, Marquette 90: Jasmine Penny made 10 of 11 shots and finished with 26 points as the top-seeded Blue Demons (26-6) defeated the fifth-seeded Golden Eagles (21-10) in Chicago to advance to face No. 2 seed St. John’s in the title game of the Big East Conference tournament on Tuesday.

FLORIDA, WICHITA STATE REMAIN 1-2 IN AP POLL
Florida and unbeaten Wichita State are the top two teams in the AP college basketball poll for the third consecutive week.
Villanova moved from sixth to third, while Arizona dropped one spot to fourth. Louisville jumped from 11th to fifth, followed by Virginia and Duke. San Diego State and Michigan tied for eighth, and Kansas was 10th.
Kentucky dropped out from 25th, the fourth preseason No. 1 to fall out of the poll in the same season.
