Bull riding at the Tacoma Dome: A long 8 seconds

Bulls, and the cowboys who ride them, will fill the Tacoma Dome this weekend for the Professional Bull Riders Passport Invitational.

The event will feature the 2013 PBR World Champion J.B. Mauney and 35 other bull riders on Saturday and Sunday for the event, part of the 2014 Built Ford Tough Series.

Each two hour plus show will feature the bull riders attempting to stay on top of their 2,000-pound rides for eight seconds. 

In addition to Mauney other riders include Silvano Alves, Renato Nunes, Guilherme Marchi, Mike Lee, Iron Cowboy and 2013 Rookie of the Year Joao Ricardo Vieira, British Columbia’s
Ty Pozzobon, Jory Markiss, Douglas Duncan, Ben Jones, L.J. Jenkins and defending event
champion Marco Eguch.

The winner takes home $30,000 and points toward the PBR World Championship.

The competition begins at 8 p.m. on Saturday and 2:50 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets, starting at $15, are now on sale at the Tacoma Dome Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or via phone at 800-745-3000.
