Ruston police ask public to help find DUI suspect

Staff writerMarch 16, 2014

Ruston police are asking the public to help find a woman suspected of driving under the influence, and a man they say helped her.

Jordin Margraves, 23, was cited Sept. 22 for driving under the influence, for which she now has to use an ignition interlock device in her vehicle, police said. That takes a sample of breath, and keeps the vehicle from starting if the user is intoxicated.

Police say photos from Margraves' device show she has driven intoxicated multiple times since it was installed, and some of the photos show a young child in the backseat at the time. Photos also show an unidentified man starting the vehicle for Margraves by blowing into the device himself, they said.

Margraves is described as 5 foot 6, 115 pounds, with dark brown hair and brown eyes.

Police think she is driving a white 2005 Toyota Corolla with Oregon license plates, and say there is a warrant for her arrest for driving under the influence.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
