Magical Strings, the Olalla Celtic ensemble founded in 1978 by Pam and Philip Boulding and often involving many members of their family at Christmas shows, will play a concert at the Fox Island Community Center this Sunday. The concert will help raise money to refurbish the 1934 schoolhouse building in time for its 80th anniversary this year.

Featuring harp, zither, whistles, storytelling and dance from the Tara Company, the concert offers another chance to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, albeit belatedly. Snacks, coffee and apple juice will also be served.

3 p.m. March 23. $15/free for under-10. Fox Island Community Center, 690 9th Ave., Fox Island. magicalstrings.com, ficra.org
