Blackhawks' Kane to miss three weeks

Chicago, IL ( - Chicago Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville announced after Wednesday's win over the Blues that Patrick Kane will be sidelined for three weeks with an undisclosed leg injury.

Kane suffered the injury in the second period, and Quenneville noted how much the Blackhawks will miss their star forward in the near future.

"Certainly he's a special player and we'll have to work our way through it, knowing what he brings to our team," Quenneville said. "It's definitely a huge loss for us, but we've been fortunate as far as not getting hit too hard. You're going to get tested at some point."

Kane recorded an assist before the injury, upping his total to 40 on the season to go with 29 goals through 69 games.
