A man who failed to yield at a stop sign near Eatonville was killed Saturday, the Washington State Patrol reported.
The dead man, Robert M. MacDonald, 72, of Spanaway, was eastbound on Eatonville Cutoff Road around 4:30 p.m. and was turning left onto state Route 161, about two miles northwest of Eatonville, when he struck another car, the State Patrol incident report said. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, where he was pronounced dead.
His two passengers, 10-year-old Cameron and 7-year-old Andrew MacDonald, suffered minor injuries. Vicki L. Williams, 53, of Graham, who was southbound on SR 161 when her car was hit, also was not injured seriously, the report said. The drivers and passengers all wore seat belts.
State Patrol trooper Guy Gill said there were no early indications of alcohol.
