Padres acquire Moore from Royals

Peoria, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Diego Padres acquired catcher Adam Moore from the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

Moore appeared in five games last season with the Royals, getting three hits in 10 at-bats. In 77 games with the Royals over four seasons, he has a .200 batting average with six homers and 19 RBI.

The Padres assigned him to minor league camp.
