The Washington Student League will hold two events in the South Sound in April.

Events are scheduled for Key Peninsula’s 360 Park on April 6 and Joint Base Lewis-McChord on April 27.

The Washington Student League, part of the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance, is a youth development league that includes racing. Racing is optional and not the primary focus, said Evergreen executive director Glenn Glover.

The program “focuses on mountain biking as a tool for student leadership, connection with nature, exercise, and healthy competition,” Glover said.

The race schedules for the events start with an 8 a.m. registration. Staging starts at 9:45a.m. and races begins at 10 a.m.
