Don’t be surprised if you see Spider-Man webbing up the 11th Street bridge or Iron Man flying over the LeMay car museum in 2016.

The first Marvel live tour is coming to the Tacoma Dome. Tickets are already on sale.

“Marvel Universe LIVE!” features 25 Marvel characters in an arena spectacular. Produced by Feld Entertainment, the first-ever live Marvel tour will visit  85 cities starting in July 2014.

The show will play Key Arena in Seattle Feb. 18-21, 2016 before heading to the Tacoma Dome from Feb. 25-28, 2016. Later in 2016 it will visit Spokane June 4-7.

“Marvel Universe LIVE!” uses an original story that puts the Marvel characters on an epic quest to find the Cosmic Cube. The cube, a source of ultimate power, has been shattered by the Mighty Thor to prevent it from falling into evil hands. Thor’s villainous brother Loki wants to clone its powers. If he succeeds Earth could be destroyed and the Universe obliterated.

To defeat Loki Marvel’s biggest super heroes must band together including The Avengers: Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk and Thor plus Spider-Man and Wolverine. The heroes cross the globe to retrieve the Cosmic Cube fragments and unite them. Along the way they will encounter adversaries including Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Red Skull, Madame Hydra, Aldrich Killian and Electro.

Producers of the show promise jaw-dropping technological advances.

“Fans will feel like they’ve stepped into a Marvel blockbuster film come to life with nonstop movie style action and stunts,” said Feld Entertainment Executive Vice President and “Marvel Universe LIVE!” Producer Juliette Feld.

“Marvel Universe LIVE!”  uses innovations in set design, aerial stunts, pyrotechnics and state-of-the-art effects to bring movie-style visuals and sound to the live arena. The show utilizes the entire arena floor and a multilevel aerial space.

Feld Entertainment produces a wide variety of touring shows including this weekend’s “Nuclear Cowboyz” at the Tacoma Dome. They also produce Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, "Monster Jam" and "Disney On Ice."

Tickets for the Seattle/Tacoma shows of “Marvel Universe LIVE!” are on sale today. Prices start at $45 and are available at Ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster retail locations, by phone at 800-745-3000 or in person at the box office.
