You’ll have two opportunities to see actor and comedian Mark Christopher Lawrence this week. One will be on the small screen and one will be in person.
On Thursday Lawrence co-hosts the Sportsman Channel’s “Amazing America with Sarah Palin” and on Sunday he’ll be performing stand-up at the Tacoma Comedy Club.
“Amazing America” is a weekly series that premieres on Thursday at 8 p.m. (Eastern Time). Lawrence co-hosts seven episodes with the former governor of Alaska and Republican vice-presidential candidate.
Compton, Calif., native Lawrence starred on “Chuck” for five seasons and has also had roles on “Seinfeld,” “Murphy Brown,” “My Name is Earl,” “Third Rock from the Sun” and scores of other TV series and movies including “Terminator 2” and “The Pursuit of Happyness.”
The new series is described as “heart-warming and unique stories that exemplify the American dream.” Audiences will be introduced to a professional taxidermist, pastors racing cars and a father and son team of custom knife makers, among others.
The Tacoma Comedy Club is at 933 Market St. in Tacoma. Lawrence’s show is at 5 p.m. and tickets are $10.
