Getting a free glass of wine with your massage or manicure will become possible under a bill Gov. Jay Inslee signed into law Wednesday.

Senate Bill 5045 will allow day spas to apply for a special permit that allows them to serve a complimentary glass of beer or wine to customers over 21.

To qualify for the alcohol service permit, a day spa must offer at least three of the following services: hair care, nail care, skin care, massages and body-toning.

Any spa employee who serves alcohol must be trained by the state Liquor Control Board.

A permit for a day spa to serve beer and wine will cost $125 per year.

The new law takes effect in mid-June.
