Fife police seek suspects in hotel robbery

Staff writerApril 2, 2014

Fife police are looking for three people they say tied up and robbed a man at a Fife hotel after he used backpage.com to set up a meeting with a woman there.

The robbery took place March 20 at a hotel in the 3500 block of Pacific Highway East.

The alleged victim told police he arrived at the hotel about 10 a.m. The woman was there with two other men, one of whom had a knife, police said.

They threatened to hurt the man, made him take off his pants, tied his hands with an electrical cord and then forced him to give them the PIN number for his bank card.

They left and took money from his accounts, investigators said.

The victim got away and went to the hotel office for help, and police were called.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-222-TIPS(8477). Tips are anonymous and can lead to a reward.
