Recreation events in Tacoma help kids with disabilities

The News TribuneApril 7, 2014

Tacoma Public Schools and Metro Parks have launched a pilot recreation program to help youths with disabilities who are about to age out of the public school system.

Monthly outings will be designed to teach students about specialized recreational opportunities they can enjoy now and in the future. The goal is to help ease their transition from school to community.
