Annie Wright Schools will sponsor a free public screening of the documentary “If You Build It” as a part of the schools’ “Night Out at The Grand” series. The screening will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at The Grand Cinema, 606 S. Fawcett Ave.
Directed by Patrick Creadon, the film follows designer-activists Emily Pilloton and Matthew Miller to rural Bertie County, the poorest in North Carolina, where they work with local high school students to help transform their community and their lives.
Tickets are free and are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the theater an hour before the screening. To see a trailer and learn more about the documentary, visit ifyoubuilditmovie.com.
