Fife police seek shooter who fired at car on I-5

Fife police are asking for the public’s help in figuring out who shot several bullets at a woman’s car as she drove on Interstate 5.

The shooting happened about 2 p.m. Sunday on northbound I-5 between Port of Tacoma Road and 54th Avenue East.

The driver, a 20-year-old woman, told police she was in the far left lane when she heard the gunshots. She continued driving to Renton, where she called for help.

Six bullet holes were found in the passenger side of the victim’s gold 2003 Pontiac Chevy Aztek. The driver was not injured.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting is asked to call the Fife Police Department at 253-896-8287.
