Olympic National Park’s annual Barn Day is April 12 and will present an opportunity for horsemen and stock users of all experience levels to learn about backcountry travel.

The event is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Elwha Barn, located on Whiskey Bend Road off of Olympic Hot Springs Road, approximately seven miles west of Port Angeles.

Workshops include packing, trail equipment, leave-no-trace techniques and trail etiquette. Participants should bring their own stock animals.
