Singer-songwriter and Radio Disney starlet Megan Nicole will appear Saturday at the NW Family Expo at the Pacific Sports and Events Center in Tacoma.
The event will offer a day of family entertainment and tips from experts. Ticket proceeds will benefit Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital and Health Center. From a diaper dash to a meet-and-greet with Nicole, the daylong event will have more than 100 vendors and nonprofit organizations offering services, products and resources.
Nicole, 19, rose to fame via YouTube after she posted a Kings of Leon cover song there in 2009. She now has 1.5 million subscribers and 350 million video views.
Nicole announced on her Facebook page Monday that her West Coast tour dates have been canceled. She gave no reason. She said she still will appear at the event in Tacoma. She has appearances scheduled at noon and 1 p.m.
Nicole’s appearance is sponsored by “On The Road to the RDMA’s (Radio Disney Music Awards).” The awards will be presented April 26 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
The first 100 people in line at the NW Family Expo will receive free tickets to Wild Waves Theme Park.
