The road between Longmire and Paradise at Mount Rainier National Park will be open overnight starting Thursday, the park announced.

The road was closed at night during the winter. Some overnight closures could still occur due to poor weather. Park visitors are reminded that vehicles are required to carry tire chains through May 1.

Also, road work continues between the Nisqually entrance and Longmire. Visitors could face delays up to 30 minutes.

The Henry M. Jackson Memorial Visitor Center remains open only weekends, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The Paradise Camp Deli inside the center is open from 11 a.m.-4:45 p.m. The Paradise Inn is scheduled to open May 21
