More than 1,000 students from Puyallup School District’s junior high and high school bands will perform for the community Friday evening  in a “Marching Band Showcase” at Sparks Stadium, 601 Seventh Ave. S.W. in Puyallup.

The showcase begins at 7 p.m. and is scheduled to last approximately one hour.

Each of 10 school bands will perform a musical selection while marching around the track. The bands will then play four selections together: “The Star-Spangled Banner,” “Marches of the Armed Forces,” “Louie Louie,” and “Can’t Hold Us!”
