Canadiens' Galchenyuk to miss first round of playoffs

Montreal, QC (SportsNetwork.com) - Montreal Canadiens forward Alex Galchenyuk will miss the first round of the playoffs because of a lower body injury.

Galchenyuk was hurt during Wednesday's game against Chicago and sat out Thursday's contest against the New York Islanders.

The Canadiens made the announcement following Thursday's game.

Galchenyuk will finish the regular season with 13 goals and 18 assists for 31 points in 65 games. He also missed time in January and February with a broken hand.
