Pierce County prosecutors have charged a woman with first-degree robbery for allegedly luring a man to a Fife hotel and robbing him with the assistance of two men.

Police identified Leechae Johnson, 26, from a tip after they released surveillance footage taken outside the hotel to the public. Her mother confirmed it was Johnson in the video and told officers her daughter had recently been hanging out with “bad” people, charging papers show.

Johnson has not yet been arrested. Prosecutors are seeking a warrant after learning that Johnson is likely fleeing to North Carolina, where she used to live.

The robbery took place March 20 at a hotel in the 3500 block of Pacific Highway East.

The alleged victim admitted he agreed to meet a woman at the hotel after responding to an ad on backpage.com. When he entered the hotel room, he was allegedly greeted by Johnson and two men, one of whom was armed with a knife.

They forced the victim to take his pants off, tied his hands with a hair dryer cord and forced him to hand over his wallet, cell phone, keys and the PIN for his bank card, according to court records.

The trio left and stole money from the victim’s bank account. The victim was able to escape and seek help at the hotel’s office.
