San Diego, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Andrew Cashner followed up a one-hit performance with another solid start to help the San Diego Padres to a 4-2 win over the Colorado Rockies.
Cashner, who fanned 11 Detroit Tigers on Friday in a 6-0 win, struck out five and allowed two runs -- one earned -- on nine hits over 7 1/3 innings Wednesday.
Tommy Medica hit a solo homer, Chris Denorfia had two RBI and Alexi Amarista scored twice in the Padres' third win in their last four.
The two teams wrap up the four-game set on Thursday.
Justin Morneau went 3-for-3 and knocked in both Colorado runs, while starter Jorge De La Rosa went six innings and surrendered three runs -- two earned -- with four strikeouts and a walk.
