Clam festival, beach cleanup highlight busy weekend on Washington coast

The razor clam season is winding down, but it's not over yet.

The Long Beach Razor Clam Festival highlights the final days of a dig on the Washington Coast.

The festival is Saturday and Sunday and will feature a chowder taste-off, the world’s largest fry pan clam fritter Cook-off and other festivities. For more information on the festival visit longbeachrazorclamfestival.com.

Saturday is also coastal cleanup day organized by coastsavers.org.

This week’s razor clam dig at Twin Harbors and Long Beach expands Friday to Mocrocks. Copalis opens for clamming on Saturday morning. All beaches close for clamming after Sunday.
