Staff writerApril 18, 2014

Two Pierce County men were arrested late Thursday with 45 pounds of marijuana in their Saturn station wagon, according to the Oregon State Police.

Troopers pulled the men over on Interstate 5 near Central Point for a speeding violation and discovered the pot hidden in trash bags. They also said they found a quarter pound of hashish.

The drugs are estimated to be worth $110,000.

Troopers booked a 22-year-old Spanaway man and a 23-year-old Bonney Lake man into jail on suspicion of unlawful possession and delivery of a controlled substance.
