Carter-Williams, Burke named April's top rookies

New York, NY ( - Point guards Michael Carter-Williams of Philadelphia and Trey Burke of Utah were named Rookies of the Month for April.

Carter-Williams was named the Eastern Conference's top rookie for the fourth time in six months after averaging 17.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and 6.4 assists in the last eight games of the season.

A front-runner to be named NBA Rookie of the Year, Carter-Williams led all first-year players this season in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals.

Burke earned the Western Conference award after averaging 15.6 points and 9.0 assists in seven April games.
