A man shot in the stomach in Northeast Tacoma early Saturday indicated he knew who attacked him, but declined to tell police, spokeswoman Loretta Cool said.
The 23-year-old man suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, she said.
Police responded about 3 a.m. to the 3100 block of 57th Avenue Northeast, after the man knocked on a few doors yelling that he had been shot.
They found him on a nearby sidewalk and crews took him to the hospital.
He didn't give police his name or any information about the shooter, Cool said.
Relatives later identified the man shot.
After interviewing others, police learned that two people had been in a dispute at a Northeast Tacoma bar, Cool said. The dispute continued at the home of one of their friends, where it escalated to the shooting, she said.
Police are still investigating.
