Troop 299 honors new Eagle Scouts

Boy Scout Troop 299 recently honored five Scouts who achieved the honor of Eagle Scout.

 • Brennan Moore built a split-rail fence for Titlow Park that spans 250 feet and helps to define the park boundaries.

 • Jack Ryan gathered donations from local businesses to build two picnic tables for Lakewold Gardens.

 • Austin Lawrence labeled storm drains in Metro Parks Tacoma parks with “Do not dump” stickers to alert the public and help protect waters from pollution.

 • Nick Flores replaced four park benches and tables at Vassault Park in Tacoma. The original tables were demolished and new benches and tables were assembled at the park.

 • John Connelly constructed 13 garden boxes at St. Patrick School that will be used by teachers, students and members of the church.
