Brain Series lecture in Tacoma to look at early language

As part of Bates Technical College’s Brain Series lectures, Dr. Naja Ferjan Ramirez will speak at a free event from 7-9 p.m. Thursday.

A postdoctoral fellow at the University of Washington’s Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences, Ramirez will talk about the effects of early language experience and how it shapes the brain. The lecture will be at Bates’ South Campus, 2201 S. 78th St., Tacoma.
