SeaTac's Alaska Airlines, engaged in a fight for market share with Atlanta's Delta Air Lines at Sea-Tac Airport,  announced another enhancement to its frequent flier program Monday.

The airline is offering it Mileage Plan customers double miles on Emirates flights to destinations around the world,  From Sea-Tac, Emirates flies non-stop to its hub in Dubai.

Emirates is offering Alaska customers discounts on its flights, 10 percent for first and business classes and 5 percent in economy.  To receive that discount, Emirates customers should enter the code USALK14** in their reservation information at

Delta is greatly expanding its portfolio of flights from Sea-Tac to cities around the country and the world this year.  It, too, is offering double miles on its flights. Delta is making Sea-Tac its West Coast hub for international traffic with flights from Sea-Tac to nine foreign destinations, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seoul and Tokyo's two airports, Haneda and Narita.

Alaska has already announced double miles to several domestic destinations to Mileage Plan members who register on the airline's web site for the added miles. It has also crafted a deal with British Airways for double miles on that airline's flight to London from Sea-Tac.
