Olympia workshop for forest owners set for May 28

A brochure promoting Department of Natural Resources Forest Health Workshops in May.


Workshops to help forest landowners identify western sprice budworm and pine beetle damage are scheduled for May in Mercer Island and Olympia. Infestations of these insects can cause severe damage.

The workshops, $15 per family, are hosted by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources and Washington State University Extension.

Workshop details:

May 19, 2014, 7- 9 p.m., Mercer Island Community Center, Meeting Room 101 – Groveland, 8236 SE 24th Street, Mercer Island, WA  98040.

May 28, 2014, 6-8:00 p.m., Olympic National Forest, Supervisor’s Office, 1835 Black Lake Blvd. SW, Olympia, WA  98512.
