About 70 people, including Thurston County sheriff’s deputies and seven dog teams, searched Sunday for Po Han Lee, 93, a man from the Federal Way/Kent area who was reported missing near Old Pacific Highway east of Lacey around noon Saturday.

Lee was still missing as of late Sunday. The Sheriff’s Office said about 9 p.m. that the search would resume Monday morning and would include K-9 teams.

According to Thurston County sheriff’s Sgt. Ray Brady:

Lee was among three people who came to the northeast area of the county Saturday morning to pick ferns on Old Pacific Highway, between Reservation Road and Thomsen Road. Lee got separated from his group and then was reported missing.

About 40 people — including search and rescue volunteers, dog teams and a King County Sheriff’s Office helicopter — looked for Lee on Saturday. The search continued until midnight and resumed Sunday, Brady said.

Brady described the search zone as a wooded area, thick with brush.
