MONday’s highlights

Mitchell Webster scored the game’s lone run in the first inning to help give White River starter Ryan Kolish the win in the 2A SPSL-leading Hornets’ 1-0 baseball victory over Orting. The Hornets (15-1) forced the fourth-place Cardinals (8-5) to strand runners in scoring position in five innings. Webster also had two stolen bases for White River.

Ben Koler outdueled C.J. Blowers of Graham-Kapowsin as Federal Way earned a 1-0 SPSL South victory over Graham-Kapowsin. Rylan Cratsenberg drove in the game’s only run in the first inning for Federal Way.

Pitcher Sierra Davis picked up the win after going 3-for-4 and scoring two runs for 3A Narrows second-place North Thurston in the 14-4 fastpitch victory over Wilson. Darian Grimm finished 2-for-4 with a RBI for Wilson.

Bethel catcher Brittany Genuardi hit for the cycle in the Braves’ 17-5 SPSL South victory over Emerald Ridge. Genuardi went 5-for-5 and drove in seven runs. Rylee Thomas was credited with the win for Bethel.

Ike Northstrom had a goal and three assists in Gig Harbor’s 5-0 victory over Stadium in Narrows 4A boys soccer. Northstrom assisted on Jon Brown’s goal in the second minute for the Tides. Northstrom scored in the 20th minute, and assisted on Brown’s goal in the 15th minute and Tanner Stepp’s goal in the 44th minute.
