Rockies' Chatwood lands on DL

Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Colorado Rockies placed pitcher Tyler Chatwood on the 15-day disabled list on Wednesday due to a right elbow strain.

Chatwood left Tuesday night's game against Arizona in the sixth inning with the bases loaded because of the injury.

The 24-year-old right-hander landed on the disabled list last August with inflammation in the same elbow. He missed his final start of 2013 and had surgery in the offseason to remove a chip from his elbow.

Chatwood is 1-0 in four starts with a 4.50 ERA in his third season with the Rockies.

In a corresponding move, Colorado recalled pitcher Chad Bettis from Triple-A Colorado Springs. Bettis is 0-1 with a 7.15 ERA in 11 games with the Rockies this season.
