FRIday’s highlights

In SPSL South baseball, Graham-Kapowsin’s Nate Affonso and Donovan Miller each hit an RBI double, and pitcher Alex Rivera earned the win in a 5-4 victory over Todd Beamer. Third-place G-K improved to 10-6 in the league, and second-place Beamer finished 11-5.

Enumclaw shook up the 3A SPSL as the fourth-place Hornets upset first-place Decatur, 4-2, to end the season. Decatur (11-4 in the league) finished as co-champions with Auburn Mountainview, which beat Decatur, 2-0, on Thursday.

Bonney Lake pitcher Taylor Graham struck out seven in a 6-3 victory over Lakes in an 3A SPSL game. Graham also hit two doubles and scored two runs for the Panthers, who finished third in the league at 9-6.

In 4A Narrows fastpitch, Olympia pitcher Maddy Stensby improved to 15-2, and Erin Roloff went 5-for-5 in a 13-3 win over Central Kitsap. Leticia Farias added four hits, including a home run, and drove in three runs for the first-place Bears (8-1 in the league).

Franklin Pierce’s Stephanie Franco went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs in an 8-1 victory over Steilacoom an 2A SPSL game. Nicole Sager had two hits and two RBIs, and pitcher Anna Lennox earned the win for the Cardinals, who finished third in the league at 7-4.
