Today's Cinco de Mayo party at Alpental signals ski season's imminent end

Tacoma News TribuneMay 5, 2014

Today is Alpental’s popular Cinco de Mayo party, which often signals the last day of the ski season at the Summit at Snoqualmie.

The event starts at 9 a.m. includes a piñata contest for kids, costume contests for all ages, live music by Space Owl, food and $25 lift tickets.

While the ski season is winding down around the Northwest, Crystal Mountain is still squeezing turns out of its snow. Crystal Mountain says it will remain open for weekend operation through at least May 18.
