Puyallup police looking for man who stole gun from store

Puyallup police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who stole a handgun from a Fred Meyer store Thursday.

The man broke into the glass display case and took the gun before fleeing on a mountain bike. KIRO-TV reported that the theft happened at the downtown Fred Meyer store, at 1100 N. Meridian.

He is described as white and in his 20s, with collar length shaggy brown hair and a beard. The thief was wearing a gray shirt, black shorts, tan skater-style shoes with white laces and white soles and carrying a red and black backpack with a white logo at the top.

Anyone with information on the suspected thief is asked to call detective Mike Lusk at 253-841-5521.
