Middle, high school students invited to explore careers at Clover Park Technical College

Tacoma News TribuneMay 6, 2014

More than 3,600 area middle and high school students will explore career options at Clover Park Technical College’s Career Conference Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The annual open house event, which is open to the public, will take place at the Lakewood campus. For four hours the college’s faculty and staff will showcase all 40 of CPTC’s programs and encourage visitors to think about post-high school plans and career training opportunities.

With the theme “Picture Your Path at CPTC,” the more than 20 “selfie” stations set up throughout campus will give prospective students the chance to picture themselves in future career fields of interest.

The event will include a health fair with participation from the college's health science programs and industry partners. The college aerospace programs from the South Hill campus and partners will head up the Aerospace and Advanced Manufacturing Fair.
