A man wanted for allegedly groping two Puyallup teens was arrested at a homeless shelter in Tacoma Wednesday night, police said.

Nathaniel Allen, 20, was booking into the Puyallup City Jail after officers took him into custody about 10 p.m.

A citizen who saw media coverage about a warrant being issued for Allen alerted police to his location, Puyallup police Capt. Scott Engle said.

Allen is suspected of groping two teen girls Jan. 10 at a late night youth program in Puyallup. When he ran into one of the victims at a fast food restaurant a week later, Allen allegedly touched her inappropriately again and wouldn’t stop until somebody else intervened.

Police have said Allen is a transient known to frequent the Puyallup and Spanaway areas.
