Tacoma News TribuneMay 8, 2014

Developers, investors, brokers, builders and anyone else interested in the housing market in Lakewood is invited to a free event next week.

The City of Lakewood is hosting a forum May 15 from 9 a.m. to noon on opportunities for housing development in the city. The event will be held at Clover Park Technical College's McGavick Conference Center, 4500 Steliacoom Blvd. SW.

The mayor and economic development officials will be available to discuss specific possibilities, and other panelists will address housing needs around Joint Base Lewis-McChord and trends in lending. Several local developers also will speak on a panel.

The event is free, though seating is limited. Register by clicking here, or go to and search for "Lakewood Housing Forum."
