A 61-year-old Federal Way man shot his brother-in-law during a fight Friday morning, police said.

The alleged shooter called 911 about 7:30 a.m. to report the shooting.

Officers responded to the home in the 31400 block of 10th Ave S and found both men inside. It was unclear what prompted their argument or whether anyone else was home at the time of the shooting.

The 52-year-old victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of a single gunshot wound to his stomach. His condition was not immediately known.

Police put nearby Federal Way High School on lockdown until about 9 a.m. as a precaution, spokeswoman Cathy Schrock said.
