A woman was shot in the neck Friday after a drug deal turned into a robbery, Auburn police said.

The victim, another woman and a man met inside a vehicle in a parking lot in the 1400 block of Auburn Way South about 9:40 a.m.

Commander Mike Hirman said the man pulled a gun and a fight broke out. The man allegedly got out of the car and fired several rounds at the woman in the driver’s seat.
