Waller Road School to mark 100 years

Waller Road Elementary School will celebrate its 100th anniversary at an open house from 3-7 p.m. May 31. The school, at 6312 Waller Road, will be open for tours and will feature a program on the school playground followed by a community fair at Waller Road Grange, 2708 64th St. E.

There will be food, children’s games and a turn-of-the-century period photo booth. The original one-room schoolhouse, Woodrow School, will also be open during the event for tours. Contact Waller Road Elementary for more information or to purchase dinner tickets at 253-841-8745.
