A woman who died weeks after being set on fire at her South Hill home was identified Tuesday as 34-year-old Maria Bazan.
Bazan died Sunday at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where shed been since the May 1 incident in the Hidden Glen Mobile Park.
Pierce County prosecutors have charged Bazans boyfriend, Angel Reyes, with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, first-degree arson and resisting arrest. He remains jailed on $1 million bail.
Charges had not yet been amended Tuesday.
Reyes, 39, allegedly set Bazan on fire during an argument about whether shed reconnected with an ex-boyfriend. The fire injured both of them and destroyed their mobile home in the 7600 block of 159th Street East.
