Tacoma High School Film Festival is Thursday at The Grand Cinema

Tacoma’s Grand Cinema will host the first Tacoma High School Film Festival to showcase short films by high school filmmakers from throughout the Tacoma area.

The event gets underway at 6:45 p.m. Thursday at the Grand, 606 S. Fawcett Ave. The program includes screening of a collection of original short films and discussions with the filmmakers.

The festival is a project of two students from Tacoma School of the Arts, seniors Dylan and Dustin Rich. The Grand and the Tacoma Film Festival are partners for the event.

Tickets are on sale at the theater box office.
