Margaret Cho to perform at Evergreen State College

Provocateur comedian Margaret Cho will appear at The Evergreen State College in Olympia on May 28. The actor, stand-up comic and social commentator will perform in the college’s recreation center at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Cho will star in Tina Fey’s upcoming sitcom about a women’s college that allows men to enroll for the first time. According to the Hollywood Reporter Cho will play the president of fictional Cabot College in the show. Cho won an Emmy for her portrayal of Kim Jong-Il on Fey’s “30 Rock.”

Cho has had a long career on the comedy and sound stages all the while pushing the buttons of the far right. She currently stars in “Drop Dead Diva” on Lifetime.

Tickets are $10 advance for students, staff and faculty ($15 at the door.) For the general public tickets are $20 advance and $25 at the door.
