New zip line to open at Northwest Trek

Staff writerMay 23, 2014

A new zip line will open Saturday at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park.

The Aerial Runway is meant for people who aren’t ready for the more challenging courses at the park. At 20 feet, it’s not as high as the most difficult courses (the tallest of which reaches 78 feet), but it goes just as fast.

It costs $26.95 before tax, in addition to park admission, and is for ages 8 and up.

There are also some baby animals at the park, with more expected soon. Bison calves and bighorn sheep lambs are in the park’s free-roaming area, and elk calves and deer fawns are supposed to be born soon.
