Boston's Victorino heads back to DL

The Sports NetworkMay 24, 2014

Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - Boston Red Sox outfielder Shane Victorino was placed back on the 15-day disabled list on Saturday.

Victorino suffered a right hamstring strain during Friday's game against the Rays, the same injury that caused him to miss the season's first 22 games.

Since his return, Victorino has hit .242 with five doubles, one triple, one home run and 10 RBI in 21 games.

To fill his spot on the roster, the club recalled outfielder Daniel Nava from Triple-A Pawtucket. Nava struggled in his first stint with the big club this year, batting just .149 with two homers and three RBI over 17 games.
