Portion of Jovita Boulevard in Edgewood to close until Friday

A portion of Jovita Boulevard in Edgewood will close Wednesday and remain closed until Friday morning.

Motorists will be detoured while crews do construction and paving between West Valley Highway and 114th Avenue East, according to a news release from the city.

The closure begins at 6 a.m. Wednesday and the road is set to reopen 6 a.m. on Friday. Emergency and local access will be maintained, but all other vehicles are advised to use alternate routes.

Those routes include: 

• Edgewood Drive 

• Sumner Heights Drive 

• Chrisella Road 

• Meridian Avenue East 

• SR 167 to SR 512 to Meridian Avenue East
