Tacoma's Commencement Bank expanding with loan office in Enumclaw

Staff writerMay 30, 2014

Tacoma-based Commencement Bank will open a  loan production office in downtown Enumclaw on  Monday, June 2.

The office, at 1186 Myrtle Ave., will be headed by long-time bankers and Enumclaw residents Kirk Parce, vice president and commercial loan officer, and Sue Androsko, loan support specialist.

“I am thrilled to be working in my home town again. I think there is a need for a true community bank in Enumclaw and Commencement Bank is a perfect fit,”  Parce said in a release Friday.

The office will represent the bank’s first expansion beyond its downtown Tacoma headquarters.

“Although technology has reduced the need for branching, we have always intended to expand when the timing was right.” said Hal Russell, Commencement Bank president and CEO.

“Our model is to find the right banker and build the branch around them," Russell stated. "We are very happy to have Kirk Parce and Sue Androsko on our team and feel that this  community is the perfect location."

Although the new office will focus on loan generation, the bank is considering the opportunity for a full-service branch, according to the release.
